I wanted this computer specifically for GPS features to capture the events during my ride.PROSVery secure setup on bikeEasily removableLarge screen is easy to readGood Battery lifeOneLapFit Software does a good job of displaying informationCONSThe computer has an automatic pause feature that stops the timing, etc... it it detects you are not moving. Unfortunately, the slowest detectable speed trigger is 5 kph (3 mph) and during my mtb rides I was often below this value. When I disabled it I found that the computer will display speeds below 5 kph and I wish the trigger was a bit lower. Also when riding in the woods, the pause would trigger whenever the GPS signal was often lost.In the end I turned the pause feature off. That leads to another annoyance. The start-stop-pause buttons are on the bottom of the computer and difficult to reach manually, especially during a ride. I wish there were remote buttons available that I could position closer to my thumbs for actuation while riding.I also had to re-pair the computer with my phone when it was not recognized. The issue may be with my android phone, but seemed weird. In frustration, I disconnected and 'forgot' the C406 computer in the OneLapFit software in order to reconnect. I didn't realize that I would also lose all the data for my previous rides on the OneLapFit software app. Bummer.Lastly, I can't find any way to link up the cardio data from my fitbit watch to this app.I can purchase a separate cardio monitor that will work with OneLapFit, but I don't need another device.Overall I believe this computer is a good value for the money and I lookforward to improved versions of this product. Would buy again.Overall this computer seems fine. Using the companion app I was easily able to sync up my heart rate monitor, cadence sensor and speed sensor (all CooSpoo brand). The big disappointment, and why I only give this 3 stars, is because you can't put any stat/sensor where you want on the screen. So, yes, you can customize the screen, but each box on the screen is limited to what seems like a random assortment of stats. Want to put your cadence or heart rate at the very top? Well too bad because on this bike computer you can only put Current Speed, Current Power or nothing in the big box at the top. All the other boxes are limited in a similar way where you can only select certain metrics for certain boxes. It's dumb and a horrible design. Just let me put whatever available metrics I have in any box I want! The more I think about it the more it annoys me. I might just return this one and try another bike computer with better customization options.I’m riding an old Schwinn road bike. I love all of the data the computer offers. Gave my classic bike a modern upgrade.Update: A little over two weeks in, I had a big event -- 24hr challenge. Just a few miles in, the computer said I needed a software update and would not work until it was applied. I tried to download the update, but it wouldn't work, so the ONE thing that I needed it for was useless. After the update, I had to reconnect all sensors. Despite having brand new Magene sensors, they connect, but only the heart rate sensor actually works. Speed and cadence still display as zero when riding. So I have now have an expensive heart rate and temperature display.I tried the Magene sensors with my Wahoo app - don't work. Tried Wahoo sensors with the computer and they connect, but show no speed/cadence.I should have spent the money and bought Wahoo!Original Review at one week:This has pretty good battery life and seems pretty durable. The mount is a little cheap, but there are higher quality ones on Amazon or at your LBS.The screens are customizable, but not great -- they have templates you choose from. Would be nice if I could put any field in any location. The backlight feature works quite well -- love that.It doesn't show a map on screen, and it's not in color -- I don't need all that when I'm on the bike -- I only have time for a quick glance. It gets me speed, time, power, cadence, heart rate, etc. Just what I need. Battery life is good. I can get three to four rides out of it without charging. I say that's positive about this GPS unit?...it matches the colour of my bike! And that's about the extent of it.I waited 10 mins to get a signal, but nothing.I went for a 30+ minute ride on a warm evening with few clouds in the sky. You've guessed it...no signal. This connects fine to a cadence sensor via Bluetooth and it tells the time, but that's about the extent of it.To say that I'm annoyed with this unit would be an understatement. It sounded so promising, especially with the auto uploading to Strava (which does work, so at least there's another positive). You can't change the speed reading to mph, despite there being an option in the app settings. Oh, that leads me to the app. The one it tells you to download has expired and is no longer compatible. You therefore need to download the newer app afterwards, called OneLapFit.It's worth also pointing out that items on screen aren't as customisable as it implies. You can select different options, but the positioning of them on screen is restricted to certain positions, so not as customisable as it you think.A promising unit, but a big letdown.Similar to other reviews, from getting the device, it showed it wanted updating. The instructions have a qr code to scan and download the app..which is out of date and no longer supported, so had to download another. The app was partly in Chinese, changed the settings, but still in Chinese. The app states the device needs updating, but wouldn't update. The speed was stuck in km/h.When riding the device shuts off after 3 mins.No rides were saved or logged.Speed showed but not logged.Sent message to company via email and chat through app, no response to either.Following chat through amazon, advised to return.Sent back and got refund.Having watched loads of YouTube videos and online reviews of this Magene C406 bike computer I purchased one and followed the instructions on the accompanying leaflet. However, I was unable to 'bind' the app. I tried everything I could but to no avail. At a loss for what to try next I emailed Magene Customer support, told them everything I had tried and awaited their reply. They informed me that the Magene C406 no longer works with the Magene Utility App and instructed me to download the Onelap Fit app instead. I did this and was instantly able to connect the bike computer to the app.I would like to see the instructions amended to state the correct app to use but other than that I am looking forward to many miles of cycling with the new bike computer and to the volume of information that I will be able to access.Bought this cycle computer to use in winter as a backup, the thought of getting my Garmin soaked and ruined was not good.To use or change the settings on the Magene computer you need to download the free software. Changing the information displayed on the pages is quite easy but the choices are limited.Plenty of pages available for you to configure.Build quality looks good.I have used it about a dozen times and it has worked well, All units are metric, like speed and distance in Km.Connects well to Strave to share information. For the price I am very pleased with it so far, you need to have some ability to configure the unit and pair heart rate monitor and cadence sensor but not to difficult.Sat Nav shows your route but you cannot create rides on it, shows you where you've been not where you want to go.I am happy I bought this cycle computer but only time will tell regarding durability.Woukd recomend for the price. This is a basic gadget and that’s what i like Keep it simple The problem was it would not connect to gps even after a 5 mile test in the car So with out a signal absolutely useless i returned it and received a refund
